Estonian Music Week and EstDocs Present a Special Film Screening Event "Arvo Pärt - Even if I Lose Everything"

Wednesday, May 9 at 7pm at Tartu College, Estonian Music Week and EstDocs present the Canadian premiere screening of the documentary Arvo Pärt - Even if I Lose Everything (2015). In Estonian with English subtitles. The screening will be followed by a lottery with exciting prizes, including tickets to EMW concerts.

The event is free! A small donation would be appreciated.

Doc & Wine Tasting: Grand Cru

David Eng’s Grand Cru is a beautiful portrait of legendary winemaker Pascal Marchand. As a twenty-something aspiring poet from Montreal, Marchand became so enchanted by the Burgundy region that he picked up and left to work the Harvest—and never looked back. Three decades later, his passion and innovative techniques—including biodynamic winemaking—have propelled him to international stardom.

Coking with Susi "Homemade Bread is the Sweetest"

Thursday, April 5 at 7pm at Tartu College, the next event in the incredibly popular series Cooking with Susi will be taking place. This time the theme will be bread and foods that can be prepared from bread.

Chef Susi Holmberg will share the secrets of bread making with all th workshop participants. She will demonstrate the different steps in the process of making bread starting from the leaven all the way through to the baking process. We will learn how to make other delicious foods from bread nad taste test, of course! Join us!

Free Screening & Panel: Intent to Destroy - feat. Atom Egoyan

On Armenian Genocide Commemoration Day, join us for a free screening and panel discussion on achieving justice in the aftermath of atrocity. In the Hot Docs hit Intent to Destroy, documentary legend Joe Berlinger immerses himself on the film set of Terry George’s epic The Promise (starring Christian Bale), the first mainstream film about the 1915 Armenian Genocide. Using this behind the scenes experience to explore the history and reality of the massacre, Berlinger exposes the tangled web of responsibility that has driven a century of denial by the Turkish government and its allies.
