Le Mozart Noir: FREE Film Screening
Come celebrate the launch of our new DVD/CD package for Le Mozart Noir in a free screening of this award-nominated film. Uncloak the mystery of Joseph Boulogne, Le Chevalier de Saint-Georges, a Black musician from the eighteenth century employing dramatic recreations and interviews with expert musicians and musicologists, the film portrays Saint-Georges' rise to become one of France's most popular heroes and his tragic fall from history. Le Mozart Noir employs the music of Saint-Georges, as interpreted by Jeanne Lamon and the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, as a window into the spirit of this remarkable historical figure.
