Film screening of "Betti Alver. Ilmauks on irvakil" and discussion with Sirje Kiin
March 14th is Estonian language day for which will be screening the documentary film “Betti Alver. Ilmauks on irvakil" (2020, in Estonian.)The film follows director Enn Lillemets as he shares his memories of his close friend and spiritual guide, Betti Alver (1906-1989), one of Estonia's brightest poets. Filmed in Tartu, with a backdrop of Estonian nature, we learn about Betti Alver’s legacy through personal memories and creations from Lillemets as well as actress Saara Nüganen, and poets Viivi Luik, Eeva Park ja Mats Traat.
The event is organized together with Kotkajärve Metsaülikool.
