Toronto Jewish Film Society presents Kol Nidre with 70 Hester Street

A co-presentation with The Yiddish Vinkl Toronto NEW DATE DUE TO POWER OUT on JUNE 7 Sunday July 19 – 4:00 and 7:30 pm Joseph Seiden’s long-lost Kol Nidre offers an unparalleled glimpse into the diversity of life, culture, and language of Yiddish New York in the 1930s. Part musical and part melodrama, the film is delightful, comically dark, and unforgettable. 70 Hester Street is director Nozkowski’s heartfelt tribute to his childhood home, a former Lower East Side synagogue.
