21C Afterhours: GGS New Music Ensemble

Curated and conducted by Brian Current, this is a late-night journey into a world of bold new sounds. Alison Yun-Fei Jiang unveils a brand-new piano concerto commissioned by The Glenn Gould School, featuring soloist Colin Chang. Christopher Mayo’s saxophone concerto receives its world premiere with internationally renowned soloist Wallace Halladay. And anchoring the program is The Broken Mirrors of Time by acclaimed South African composer Andile Khumalo – a work of haunted elegance and layered resonance - performed by soloist Henry From alongside the ensemble.
