Women’s Art Association of Canada (WAAC)

Women’s Art Association of Canada (WAAC) is a vibrant, not-for-profit centre of creativity and inspiration, with two galleries, 11 studios, a stunning garden, and a newly created Artist-in-Residence program. WAAC holds art exhibitions, offers workshops and lectures, and has a scholarship program to support students in the visual, theatre, dance, and music arts. The WAAC library contains 1500 art books and has an online catalogue of the collection. WAAC was established over 132 years ago by Mary Ella Dignam to support women in the arts. For the last 102 years WAAC has been a resident in the Annex at 21 and 23 Prince Arthur Avenue. The Association maintains an active membership that is open to women and men, and all members of the public are welcome to WAAC events.
