Suresh Doss x Yueh Tung Restaurant // Curious Minds
The food of the Hakka Chinese diaspora reflects the subtle and delicate cooking of China mixed with the fire and heat of India, where most of Toronto's Hakka residents lived before settling in Canada. Suresh Doss sits down with the Liu family, proprietors of Elizabeth Street's beloved Yueh Tung Restaurant, to explore how its younger members are preserving the Hakka food traditions passed down from their parents—including an insanely delicious Chili Chicken dish that the city can't get enough of.
