From Cairo to the Cloud: The World of the Cairo Geniza: A Genizah is a place used to store sacred Hebrew texts too withered for use. This captivating documentary tells the story of a Jewish professor from Cambridge and the Scottish twin sisters who discover a Cairo Genizah that reveals the day-to-day life of Jewish women and men in medieval Egypt. The story of an astonishing collection of ancient manuscripts hidden for centuries in a Cairo synagogue, and their remarkable odyssey to the modern world. Toronto Premiere.
