Joshua Hopkins: Love and Loss
This concert is postponed. The new date is to be announced.
Works by Schubert, Duparc, Debussy, and the Canadian premiere of Heggie’s Songs for Murdered Sisters (voice and piano version) with text by Margaret Atwood, highlight how these songs use women as objects and obsessions. The first half of the program begins in a seemingly innocent, positive light, which begins to unravel as the program proceeds.
