Stitches & Scenes: Little Women (2019)
Stay warm this winter with a cozy movie to craft along to! Bring your latest crochet, knit, embroidery, or other creative project, and stitch away to cozy recent classic, Greta Gerwig’s Little Women.
Based on Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel about Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March as they grow up in nineteenth-century Massachusetts, Gerwig’s tender adaptation oozes with warmth. Their girlhood years spent playing pretend, befriending the handsome neighbor boy Laurie, and fighting and forgiving among sisters, are bathed in a nostalgic golden glow. As they grow into women, and their paths diverge to Paris, New York, and homes and families of their own, the March sisters always find their way back to each other.
With a whimsical score by Alexandre Desplat and award-winning Victorian costumes by Jaqueline Durran, Little Women is the perfect complement and inspiration for your latest craft creation.
