Written, directed, edited, produced and shot by Robbie Banfitch (the director of 2022’s breakout indie horror hit The Outwaters), Tinsman Road follows a young man visiting his mother in the backwoods of New Jersey while discreetly documenting the circumstances of his sister’s disappearance years before.

Shot on a muddy mini-DV camcorder, Tinsman Road's harrowing emotional wavelength discomposes its viewer with a surprising vulnerability. Dense with dizzying sound design and cyclical woodland imagery, this moody and melancholic tone poem is one of the year’s best horror offerings - equal parts epic found-footage flick and patient chamber drama that will lull you into a trance with its exploratory handheld camerawork, blurring the lines between personal psychosis and collective mythmaking.
